I bookmarked this with the intent to comment. Isn't it amazing how the government managed to read 6,000 as 77,000. I can't for the life of me think of a way to triskaidecuple (dunno if that's a word, but it follows the rule and it sounds grouse) that figure with any valid reasoning.

Also, on Saturday they posted an article that went a little futher into John Shields' research paper Setting The Double Standard. Have a read, PDF here. Couple this with the government's IR reforms and it makes working life look pretty fucking bleak for most Australians.
