A whole week has gone by since my last post... I've been pretty slack huh?

I've been spending a hell of a lot of time at work. Too much time in fact. This is the first weekend in a while when I've not bee in the office, and I've caught up on almost a week's sleep in two days. I'm going to have another early one tonight, so that I can wake up early(ish) and head into town for a bit. I'm keen to visit the MCA, as I haven't been there in a very long time and it'd be nice to see what's happening. An adavntage of going there is that it's free, and will chew up a few hours of my day. That's the main reason why I started visiting the museums & galleries around Sydney a few years ago, because they're free, interesting, and constantly changing.

Why the focus on doing things that are free? Well I've paid for my trip to Darwin... it's costing me $610 to get there and back, just the airfares. I'll be sharing the week between Mum's place and Dad's place. Each has its own merits; at Mum's I can slob around and play on the PlayStation or Xbox, and at Dad's I can hang out with my little sisters and youngest brother. I think I'll go and see the new Harry Potter flick while I'm up there, and no doubt I'll hook up with some of the old crew on at least one night to get totally shitfaced. I'm also going to be up there for firecracker night, which is always a hoot, and the Mindil Beach Markets, something I've really missed since being in Sydney. It's only just clicked now that firecracker night and markets night are one and the same... oh well.
