It's 12:26am, and I just got home from work. There was a whole range of things I needed to wrap up before I left for my break, and unfortunately some problems came up at the last minute, as they do. I've spent the last two days trying to clear things up but still feel like I'm leaving too much unfinished business. I have this stupid thing where I take personal ownership & responsibility for each and every facet of my job, and I'll constantly exhaust myself 'for the good of the company'. I went back to the doctor for my blood results today and found out that I am doing really well in all aspects of my physiological health, except that my iron levels are really low and I could do with a little more sugar. We discussed work etc and essentially the doctor agreed that it's all thanks to work, I've been getting dizzy spells and whatever because my endurance has dropped thanks to lack of sleep and my iron has dropped because all I seem to eat these days is what I can grab on the way home because I haven't had time to go grocery shopping for a few weeks.
Anyway.
I may or may not be playing cricket tomorrow, it all depends on the weather. I was supposed to get cofirmation today but I didn't, so I'll have to give the guys a call in the morning.
"After eight years of the Howard Government, Australians are dreaming ordinary dreams, fearing a slide into poverty and fantasising about "just getting in the car and driving", a new qualitative study shows." Read it. Honestly, is anyone suprised?
Now it's time for bed. I'm going to have to print this at work to read it, trying to get through it on the screen is killing my eyes.
